Pastor Carter has 41 years in ministry, having served churches in Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and Georgia. He believes in what he calls “BTP,” which stands for Biblical Teaching and Preaching. One of his primary focuses is evangelism followed by discipleship, which produces spiritual and church growth. Pastor Carter believes ministry to children, youth, and young adults are essential components of evangelism.
Pastor Richard E. Carter was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, he grew up in New Hope CME Church, a small church from where he was called to preach in 1982. Pastor Carter was educated in the Montgomery County School System. He studied business management at Draughon Business College now South University. He further studied at Huntington College and Southeast Bible college earning a BA.
Pastor Carter is married to Dianne, they are the proud parents of three daughters, three sons and eleven grandchildren.
